I walked a digital monitor over to my neighbours house so that they could start measuring in time for the heating season this year. We told them measure for 90 days and let us know what their results were so we could help them navigate mitigation options!

I gave my new neighbours an electronic radon monitor as a housewarming gift!
I did a presentation to my hometown Mayor and Council about radon and shared with them some ideas from Health Canada’s Radon Action Guides for municipalities.

What is Radon?
Radon is a gas that you can’t see, smell or taste. Radon comes from the ground, and can be found at high levels in some buildings. This is dangerous because breathing in high levels of radon for a long time increases the risk of lung cancer.
All homes have some level of radon gas, the question is – how much? The only way to know is to test.
